El Cortecito

Only a 10 minute walk from our complex, well known for its’ restaurants, bars and local art shops along the beach. El Cortecito is a very lively place not only during the daytime but also at night with live music performances and the sound of the surf crashing on the beach. Meet the locals and enjoy strolling through the colorful wooden huts filled with souvenirs and craft items.

Palma Real Shopping Village

An open air shopping mall best known for exclusive high-end stores and restaurants located an 8 minute bus ride (5 minutes by car) away. The village also includes banks, a pharmacy, souvenir store and a Super Lama supermarket.

 

San Juan

A 20 minute bus ride (12-15 minutes by car) from Costa Hermosa Residences, this place has it all. Two supermarkets (Super Pola, Jumbo), IKEA, multiplex cinema, night clubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, banks, home goods stores, art supplies store and much more.

Punta Cana Village

Nestled in lush surroundings located adjacent to the Punta Cana International Airport, the village is a cluster of charming single and two story high colorful structures housing retail stores, restaurants, churches, financial institutions and a medical center.

Blue Mall

Just around the corner from Punta Cana Village there is a new shopping experience. This single story contemporary mall featuring traditional thatched roofs made with palm fronds houses high-end stores and a selection of restaurants.

 

Beaches

An uninterrupted 64 kilometers (40 miles) stretch of white sandy beaches lapped by turquoise waters and dotted with swaying palm trees awaits you in Punta Cana. Go surfing off Macao beach, feel the waves below as you sail on a catamaran along Bávaro beach, snorkel among tropical fish and dolphins, fly up high parasailing or fly even higher with a helicopter tour to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Punta Cana’s beautiful coastline. Costa Hermosa Residences are only an 8 minute walk from Bávaro beach.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION

BUS

Punta Cana and nearby towns and villages are serviced by local buses called Sitrabapu and Traumabapu. During the day the buses run approximately every 10-15 minutes. There are only a few designated bus stops in the area right on the main road (Avenida Alemania), but the buses stop anywhere along their route. Just raise your arm to signal the bus driver where you would like to board the bus. The same applies when you would like to get off the bus. Just tell the bus driver or his assistant (who also collects the bus fare) and they will let you off anywhere you like. The bus fare can vary depending on the distance you travel. If you travel to a nearby Friusa, Palma Real Shopping Village or San Juan the bus fare is RD$40 (40 pesos or US$1 bank note). Please note there are no bus tickets. Approximate travel times by bus are as follows: Friusa 15 minutes, Palma Real Shopping Village 8 minutes, San Juan 20 minutes.

TAXI

Taxi service in Punta Cana is available. To travel to/from the airport is US$30-35; to/from San Juan is US$20-25; to/from Palma Real Shopping Village is US$10.

CAR RENTAL

The closest car rental place, MELO, is a 4 minute walk. It is located at the corner of the main road Avenida Alemania and Calle Cuba.
